Medicine Sales
Our Pharmacist will be pleased to give you advice on treating minor illnesses or family healthcare problems and will tell you if you need to see your doctor or dentist. We have a semi-private area in our pharmacy where you can speak to the Pharmacist in confidence. As well as our wide range of propietary products, we have a range or our own brand medicinces along with those that we can make up specially for you.

Healthcare Advice
Alongside the advice our Pharmacist can give you, we have a touch-screen computer information point and a wide variety of free leaflets which cover many aspects of family healthcare. If you require any further information on the subjects covered we will be pleased to discuss these with you.

Prescriptions
We have a comprehensive range of medicines available to dispense both NHS and Private prescriptions. Even those medicines that are not immediately available can usually be obtained the same day. When we dispense your prescription we automatically add to the label any warnings that may be appropriate to that medicine and any precautions you may need to take, for instance, taking care when driving if a medicine may make you drowsy.

Repeat Prescription Service
We provide a service whereby you can collect your repeat prescription, already dispensed, from our pharmacy, without having to collect the prescription from the surgery. Please ask our Pharmacist or at the surgery for further details.

Prescription Collection and Delivery
We are happy to arrange for the collection and delivery of prescriptions for those who find it very difficult to get to our pharmacy. Ask our Pharmacist for further details. This service is free of charge.
Holiday Needs
Holiday Needs Please ask to see our list of things you may need for your holiday. Our Pharmacist is always glad to give advice about avoiding sunburn, tummy upsets, malaria and other holiday risks and to recommend suitable remedies and precautions.

Your Medication Record
When we dispense a prescription for you, we keep a full record of the medicines dispensed. When you next bring a prescription to our pharmacy, we can check against these records to make sure that this treatment is compatible with other medicines you may still be taking. These records are strictly confidential and you are welcome to see them and discuss them with us at any time.


Urgent Prescriptions
If you have an urgent prescription that needs to be dispensed when we are closed, and which has been marked URGENT by your doctor, then please contact the police and they will arrange for a pharmacist to be called out.

Emergency Supplies
Under special circumstances, we are able to make an emergency supply of a Prescription-Only Medicine. This is for genuine emergencies only, when it is impossible to get to a doctor. The full cost of dispensing the medicine will be charged as this service is not providided by the NHS.

Medicine Containers
We use CHILD RESISTANT containers for all medicines, unless you tell us not to. Remember that ALL MEDICINES SHOULD BE KEPT OUT OF THE REACH AND SIGHT OF CHILDREN and that child resistant containers are not totally child proof. Some disabled or elderly people may find these containers difficult to open, so if you want ordinary containers, please speak to the pharmacist when you hand in your prescription.
Unwanted Medicines
It is important not to stockpile or hoard unused medicines at home, it can be dangerous. Please return all unused and unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where they can be safely destroyed.

Disabled Living
We provide a comprehensive range of aids to daily living for the elderly and disabled. A catalogue of products is available for you to browse through. Again we will be happy to advise on the items most suitable for your needs.

Nebulisers
Nebulisers are used for the treatment of chronic respiratory problems, eg. Asthma. Whilst they are not available on an NHS prescription, they can be bought from us if your GP considers that a nebuliser would be appropriate for you.

Pregnancy Tests
A small urine sample (preferably taken first thing in a morning) is required. The test usually takes about ten minutes, although at busy times it may take longer. We also stock a selection of home tests.

Diabetes Services
We have in stock a range of sugar-free medicines, foods and drinks which are all suitable for diabetic patients. We also carry blood-glucose meters and testing strips and our Pharmacist is always available to discuss any queries you may have regarding diabetes.

Incontinence Supplies
We can provide a full range of helpful items such as pads, pants, mattress covers etc. and will be pleased to advise you in complete confidence on the items most applicable to your needs.

First Aid Supplies
We can supply first aid kits for both home and business use that will comply with current Health and Safety requirements. We also sell individual items to re-stock existing first aid kits.

Health and Foods Supplements
We have an extensive range of dietary supplements and health foods and will be pleased to advise you on those items suitable for you.
